Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today said Thotapally reservoir will be strengthened to cater to the needs of people in Siddipet.
Along with Finance Minister Etela Rajender, the minister participated in developmental programs and laid foundation stone for a social welfare Gurukul hostel in Thotapally. The hostel was estimated to cost Rs 13.10 cr he said and asked the officials to complete the building at the earliest. Harish Rao said that the state government is strengthening the schools with hostel and other facilities.
He accused the previous governments of neglecting the education sector and minting money without giving impetus on standards. TRS Government is redeveloping the schools and colleges to offer better quality education he said. We are number on one in several sectors and providing 24 hour power to farm sector from January 1, Harish said. The government is determined to complete the irrigation projects despite hurdles by the opposition, he said.
Rajender also said that the government is spending huge funds for education sector. The education is being revived and students are imparted with better standards he said. MP Vinod Kumar, Chief Whip P Sudhakar Reddy, MLC Naradasu Lakshman, ZM Chairperson T Uma, MLA Balakishan and others present
