Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today lashed out at TJAC Chairman Prof Kodandaram for doing politics in the name of ryotu dharnas.
Talking to reporters at Karimnagar on Sunday he alleged that Kodandaram is trying to malign the image of the state government which is ready to address the farmers’ issues. Kodandaram and BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy are provoking farmers to stall Palamur and other projects. He sought to know why Kodandaram did not stage a protest at Mallanna Sagar. The TJAC chairman should have conducted a protest at Mallanna Sagar project if he is so sincere on the projects and farmers welfare. It is deplorable that TJAC is indulging in politics through farmers’ issues he said. The government is ready to crop loan waiver and offering minimum support price to their produce he said.
Though the state government is ready to construct Mothe reservoir the congress and TD are coming in the way he objected. Despite obstacles by the opposition or any others the government will not stall development works including completion of the projects he said. (NSS)
