HYDERABAD: A constable deputed to the City Security Wing (CSW) and posted at the residence of former DG, RP Meena, allegedly attempted suicide by shooting himself with his colleague’s AK 47 rifle at Prashasanagar in Jubilee Hills on Friday evening. Though it was initially considered to be a weapon misfire, a seven-page suicide note was recovered from the premises. The constable was operated for his wound and is stated be out of danger.
RP Meena said he was shocked on hearing bullet sound and came out of the house and found Kishore on the ground. “Kishore is a CSW constable and posted at my residence for the 15 days.
We found a lengthy seven-page suicide note in which Kishore wrote about his family problems,’’ Meena said. Around 5.30pm, as Meena was supposed to leave for the airport, the AR constables posted at his house, came out of their room leaving the weapon inside.
Babu came to work like any other day on Friday. It was also found that Kishore had a conversation with a person for around 20 minutes before he attempted suicide. Around 4:50 pm, while on duty, he shot himself with his AK 47 rifle. The bullet pierced through his body under his chest cavity and he fell. His colleagues and locals who heard the gunshot rushed to his rescue and shifted him to a nearby private hospital. He was treated and his condition is stable, police said.
The bullet pierced through Kishore Babu’s chest and exited from the rear. He was rushed and admitted in a nearby private hospital (Apollo Hospital), where his condition is said to be stable. However, due to the injury near the chest, he has to undergo a surgery. Jubilee Hills Inspector P Chandrashekar said the weapon used for shooting was recovered and the case is under investigation.
