Bundi (Raj) July 07: Workers of Shiv Sena and Bajrang Dal today staged a protest and tried to block a Congress leader who along with his supporters was entering a court to attend the hearing of a defamation case filed against Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
The case was filed on July 3 by Youth Congress state Secretary Charmesh Sharma at the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, accusing Modi of making derogatory remarks against the country’s first prime minister Jahawarlal Nehru.
Sena and Bajrang Dal activists carrying posters of Modi and Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray staged a protest outside the court and tried to stop Sharma and his supporters, police said. They demanded withdrawal of the defamation suit.
Congress workers also smeared Modi and Thackeray posters with black paint, police said.
