Govt to set up courts in 136 villages

Hyderabad, January 31 (INN): Law Minister Erasu Pratap Reddy on Monday announced that the State Government would set up courts in 136 villages across the State.

However, the minister did not disclose further details as to when the process would be completed. Talking to reporters at his chambers in the State Secretariat, Pratap Reddy said that Rs 10 crore has been sanctioned for carrying out repairs of court buildings across the State.

The minister also informed that the Chief Justice has also sought financial assistance of Rs 75 crore for the judiciary department. He said Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has assured the Chief Justice that the government would try to arrange the funds during the next budget.

Pratap Reddy said that 108 fast track courts would be added in the State soon. Further, the government also proposes to recruit judicial staff soon. (INN)
