Congress senior leader V Hanumantha Rao has extended his full support to the Jogini Syamala, who expressed anger at the government’s arrangements and police attitude during Ujjaiani Ammavari Bonalu held on Sunday. Stating that the Jogini’s words would come true, VH predicted that the dictatorial rule of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao would end in future.
Speaking to the media here on Monday at Gandhi Bhavan, VH alleged that the Chief Minister did injustice to the Sarpanchs by not giving power and funds to them. He opined that the state government was not conducting Panchayat elections intentionally as it was afraid of defeat, and said the sarpanchas should revolt against the special officers.
Alleging that dictatorial rule was going on in Telangana state, VH made it clear that the Congress party will stand by them if people revolted against TRS government. The BCs were facing lot of injustice in KCR government, he lamented and claimed that the TRS government was trying to suppress the BCs. He expressed anger at KCR government, and asked where was the need for BC census again, when the results of the Comprehensive Family Survey were already there.
Speaking about internal politics of Congress party, VH urged the party high command to announce Publicity Committee chairman immediately. He said that there was a tradition in Congress party that the high command will decide the name of the Chief Minister candidate. He made it clear that he has patience to roam among the people and said that he will work hard as an activist for the sake of the party. (NSS)
