Govt promotes “Hindi” whereas Arun Jaitley reprimands man who asks Hindi translation of “bullet train”

New Delhi: Arun Jaitley, while speaking at the seminar held on Sunday, 24th September in Delhi on bullet trains, a participant asked him the Hindi translation of “bullet train“.

Reacting to it, Mr. Jaitley said, “Be a little serious please” and avoided giving Hindi translation of “Bullet Train”. He also reprimanded the questioner.

According to the report published in India Today, Mr. Jaitley was talking about how ill-informed are the debates around the bullet trains.

It may be noted that Central Govt. is trying to promote the Hindi language. In such a situation, Union Minister not only avoided Hindi translation but also reprimanded the questioner.
