Lucknow, September 19: In wiew of the crucial Ayodhya title suit verdict on September 24, the Uttar Pradesh government has promulgated Section 144 in all the districts of the state besides banning all types of religious processions and public gatherings.
The central para-military forces and Provinvicial Armed Constabulary (PAC) have started conducting ‘flag marches’ in the sensitive areas of all the districts of the state.
According to police sources here today, all the district authorities have been asked to issue orders related to Section 144 and ban all types of procession and public gatherings.
Such ban had already been issued in Lucknow and Faizabad where the officials have deployed large-scale security personnel including central forces.
Sources said the districts have been asked to make the list of the anti-social elements who can create disturbances.
”A special team in all the districts have been formed to keep a track on the rumour mongers, besides this make-shift jails have been set up to detain the people involved in any mischief,” the sources further added.
Yesterday, the Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court had reviewed the security arrangements at the Lucknow bench and Allahabad permises of the court.
More than 10 companies of additional central forces along with bomb disposal squad and RAF along with large contingent of state police have been deployed in both the Lucknow and Allahabad High court permises before the Septmber 24 judgment.
