Hyderabad: Deputy floor leaders Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy (Council) and T. Jeevan Reddy (Assembly) have described the joint address by Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan to Telangana Legislature as farce and vision-less.
Speaking separately at Assembly Media Point here on Thursday, they said that the Governor’s address failed to mention the achievements of TRS Government during the last 21 months. Instead, it was full of new promises and baseless assurances. They said that there was no clarity on welfare sector and the main issues like 12% reservation for Muslims and STs were given a miss.
They said that the TRS Government was never serious about governance and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s sole activity was limited to encouraging defections in opposition parties. They said that the Governor speech could be scrapped as it did not address the core issues. (INN)
