Kathmandu : Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist Centre (CPN-Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that a national consensus government under the leadership of Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli would be acceptable to his party.
Speaking at a meeting at Birendranagar, Surkhet district yesterday Dahal said there was no alternative to a national consensus government to resolve the problems facing the nation.
“It wouldn’t be a problem even if a national government is formed under PM Oli’s leadership,” Kathmandu Post quoted him as saying.
The Maoist leader remarked that his party was not involved in the game of forming and toppling the government.
He dispelled the rumours about a gentleman’s agreement between
Oli and him and expressed his disapproval to the government’s hasty announcement of date for local body elections.(ANI)
