Hyderabad: General Secretary of All India Congress Party and In charge of Congress Affairs of Telangana State, Mr. Digvijay Singh told that Muslims do not need clothes, give them reservations. They can purchase clothes for Ramazan Eid. He was addressing a meeting of the Coordination Committee of Congress held at Gandhi Bhavan yesterday. Present on this occasion were Captain Uttam Kumar Reddy, President of TS Congress, Mr. M. Vikramarak, working president of TS Congress, Mr. K. Jana Reddy, opposition leader in Assembly, Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbir, opposition leader in Council and others.
Mr. Digvijay Singh further told that instead of attending to welfare and developmental works to make Telangana as an exemplary State, CM of Telangana is slaughtering democracy by inducting members of other parties into TRS. In the name of redesigning of Irrigation Projects, the cost is being increased 5 times thereby opening the floodgates of corruption.
The CM who deviated from his election promise of providing 12% reservation to Muslims is now trying to gain the favour of Muslims by distributing clothes in Ramazan. He also told that the Muslims are capable of buying clothes. If CM is serious about the welfare and development of Muslims, he should provide 12% reservations without any further delay. Congress Party provided 4% reservation to Muslims which benefited 10 lakh Muslims.
Reacting on the defection of Mr. G. Sukhender Reddy, MP, Mr. G. Vivek and Mr. G. Vinod, Mr. Digvijay Singh told that only those Congressmen are joining TRS who are transforming politics into business.
