GHMC Polls: SEC seeks NGOs, RWAs’ help to increase poll percentage

Telangana State Election Commissioner V. Nagi Reddy has appealed to all the organisations and residential welfare associations to play a vital role to increase the poll percentage in the forthcoming GHMC elections.

In this contest, the SEC held an interactive meeting with various associations in the State Election Commission office today.

The State Election Commissioner said that polling percentage in last GHMC elections was around 50%. However, he said that the percentage should increase this time. He said that the State Election Commission has placed the entire voter list and other information on its website. The voters will also be able to download their voter slip from the website.

Nagi Reddy said that the State Election Commission was making elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of GHMC elections. He said that the GHMC Commissioner has been directed to remove all unauthorized flexes and banners immediately.

Additional Commissioner C. Ramakrishna Rao, SEC Secretary Ashok and Joint Director of Information Department Nagaiah and representatives of various organizations have participated in the meeting. (INN)
