Hyderabad: GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan said that the two-day Job Mela, which began at Hari Hara Kala Bhavan here on Monday, has been receiving tremendous response from the youth.
Addressing a press conference, the Mayor said that the GHMC has organized Job Mela to facilitate the jobless youth in getting good placements in corporate companies. He said around 30 big corporate companies have joined hands with GHMC to help the unemployed youth aged from 18 to 35 years. He said Job Melas would be conducted in all the five zones in the coming days. He said nearly 2,000 youth would be provided employment through such Job Melas.
The Mayor said that World Water Day would be celebrated on Tuesday. In this connection, he has appealed to all the citizens of the twin cities to save at least one one litre of water every day. He has appealed all the NGOs, Residential Welfare Associations, Celebrities, political leaders, students and educational institutions to spread awareness on conservation of water.
Rammohan informed that the next meeting of GHMC Council would be held on April 2 wherein two co-option members would be nominated from the minorities. (INN)
