The TRS is all set to offer a two-day training classes for its 99 Corporators at Pragathi Resorts here. The TRS leadership has decided to conduct the classes on April 11 and 12 to offer training to the new corporators on government policies, smooth governance, addressing peoples’ issues, responsibility of peoples’ representatives and steps to resolve the key issues.
Chief Minister K Chandarasekhar Rao had already announced about the training classes at Pragathi Resorts for two days. KCR is to address them on their responsibilities and duties to address the issues pertaining to basic amenities such as water, power, sanitation, pension, ration cards, distribution of essential commodities. It is likely that the chief minister is to touch upon other key issues like water logging on main roads, traffic jams, pollution, revenues and taxes, regularistaion of lands and buildings, recovery of the same from illegal encroachers, penalty and law and order.
Though the GHMC has a total of 150 corporators, the training classes are meant for only 99 TRS corporators, it is learnt. In coordination with GHMC, the government is roping in Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) to offer training to the newly elected civic body leaders. (NSS)
