Ghalib celebrations to be held on December 21, 22 & 23

New Delhi: Ghalib celebrations were first organised by former prime minister late Indira Gandhi and former President of India late Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed on the occasion of death centenary of Mirza Ghalib in 1969. Since then Ghalib celebrations are being held without a break, with the same pomp and show. Ghalib Institute has been organising Ghalib Celebrations for nearly 49 years to pay tribute to the great poet.

Customarily, Ghalib celebrations are also going to be held this year on December 21, 22 and 23. An international seminar will be conducted. Besides Sham-e-Ghazal and world mushaira and drama will also be organised.
