Gandhi inspiration to KCR rule: Speaker

Hyderabad: Speaker, S Madhusudhan Chary and Council Chairman Swamy Goud today paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on the Assembly premises here to mark 150th birth anniversary.

Speaking on the occasion, Chary said the rule in Telangana was going on as per the dreams of Mahatma Gandhi who vouched for Rama Rajya. With the inspiration of Gandhi, caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has been offering services to people to reach their aspirations. He said Mahatma Gandhi fought the British and chased them away in a peaceful manner. Now the TRS rule in the State was going on in a peaceful manner as law and order prevails, he said.

Earlier, the Speaker paid tributes at Ambedkar statue. Other leaders, including former MLAs, MLCs also paid tributes to Gandhi on the occasion.
