Etala flays Congress for “vicious” campaign

Hyderabad: Caretaker Finance Minister Etala Rajender today lashed out at the Congress party for spewing venom at TRS boss K Chandrashkhar Rao and party leaders.

Addressing the media at TRS Legislature Party here today, Rajender accused the Congress of indulging in sentiments of the people by raking up caste issues. With conspiracy to stall growth, the Opposition Congress was spreading misinformation campaign in social media against KCR and the TRS rule, Rajender fumed. The Congress was trying to make short-cuts to clinch power, which was highly impossible, he said.

“The people are not ready to listen to the vicious campaign of the Congress”, he said and objected to TPCC Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy and others for making false charges and the promises only to lure the people. He flayed the Congress and BJP for claiming to have contributed for surplus power in the State. If that was the case, why the Congress and BJP ruled States are not giving free power to farm sector as was being done by the Telangana Government, he asked.

The TRS rule has tide over power crisis, achieved victory in waters and resources besides standing first in economic sector at national level with significant growth, Rajender remarked. “We have achieved the statehood and vying for welfare and development of the State”, he said.

“We have spent hundreds of crores of funds for completing irrigation projects and filled 37,781 posts so far out of giving permission to fill 1.2217 lakh posts and issued notifications to fill 87,346 posts. The TRS Government increased salaries for contract lecturers, Home Guards, Aasha Works and Anganwadi teachers”. He said they made arrangements to provide jobs to unemployed youth in private sector.
