Mohali, December 12: After Sreesanth Team India got another blow on Saturday when dazzling opener Gautam Gambhir and Indian cricket team manager Mayank Parekh was admitted to a local hospital here late last night with flu-like symptoms.
According to Media reports Gambhir too has been admited to hospital, So he too won’t be able to play the T-20 against Sri Lanka today.
”The manager has been admitted to a private hospital only as a precautionary measure after he developed cough and cold,” Joint Secretary of Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) G S Walia said.Walia saidTeam India has been advised to report to the team management if they show flu-like symptoms adding specific tests for swine flu will only be done if the players show symptoms.”The tests for swine flu will only be done if there are any symptoms of flu,” he added.
Pacer S Sreesanth was already suffering with H1N1 influenza and he was admitted to a local hospital where he is doing better now.Sreesanth alongside Rohit Sharma, who injured his shoulder in the first Twenty20 match at Nagpur, have been already ruled out from the second Twenty20 international to be played at the PCA stadium here today.
