Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today disclosed that the flagship program of Mission Bhagiratha to supply safe drinking waters to every household will begin on next April 30.
The Chief Minister announced this while laying foundation stone for Horticulture varsity, Agriculture varsity and Center for Excellence at Mulug in Medak district here along with Union Agriculture Minister Radhamohan Singh. He said his government will keep its promise of launching drinking water program from Gajwel in Medak district from April 30. He also declared that efforts were being made to transform Telangana into Seed Bowl of India as it will get the best equipped laboratories in horticulture and farm sector.
Extending thanks to Radhamohan Singh, the Chief Minister hoped that the three institutes would come up in 1,300-acre sprawling campus and it will fortify the farm and horticulture sectors. He urged Singh to help the State to have more number of storage houses and help farm sector. Stating that he would hold talks with Singh on the varsity development, KCR said Rs 50 crore will be spent for setting up Forest College in Gajwel and Rs 20 crore for setting up cold storage plant at Ontimamidi Market Yard in the district. The Chief Minister also urged the Centre to help Telangana develop in agriculture sector. “We will follow the instructions given by Union Agriculture Minister Radhamohan Singh for farm sector development, he said.
