A watchman committed suicide allegedly due to harassment by a private financier.
According to Jubilee Hills police, the deceased, Bhagwan, 35, resorted to the extreme step by consuming some unknown poison at his residence in Jubilee Hills on Tuesday. He was admitted to a hospital where he died today. He was a native of East Godavari district. Enquiries by the police revealed that a private financier Bhaskar gave some money on loan to Bhagwan’s friend Chakram. Since Chakram did not pay the money and went absconding, Bhaskar was allegedly harassing Bhagwan for repayment which consequently drove him to suicide.
In another case, P. Pullamma, 60, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at her residence in Prabhat Nagar of Borabanda on Tuesday night. She had one son, who is a software engineer and used to stay out of town. Loneliness is suspected to be the reason behind suicide, according to SR Nagar police.
In a different case, Syed Yakub Shakeel, 58, of Chanchalguda, committed suicide by consuming some unknown poison on Wednesday. He was a businessman and ill-health is suspected to have driven him to the extreme step, according to Dabeerpura police.
In a separate case, financial problems drove C. Gopiaiah, 45, of Bhagatsingh Nagar, in Saroornagar police limits to suicide. He had consumed poison on Tuesday and died at OGH today. (INN)
