Forest staff to donate Rs 6.50 lakh for green drive

Forest Range Officers today offered to donate their one day salary towards Haritha Haram the flagship program of the government. Telangana State FRO Association President A Vijayananda Rao on Monday met Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna at Secretariat and offered him an offer letter to donate Rs 6.50 lakh towards the greenery spreading program. On the occasion they promised to work for the target to expand green cover to 33 per cent from existing 26 per cent. The minister appreciated the FRO and asked them to offer committed services to expand greenery a release said. (NSS)
