The Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases at Nellore has convicted Dolla Ramanna, Forest Section Officer, Flying Squad, Kadapa, on August 28 in ACB case. The court sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for three years and also to a pay fine of Rs 3,000 under each offence under sections 7 and 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of the PC Act, 1988, ACB, said in a release here today. Earlier, Ramanna was trapped by ACB when he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 20,000 from the complainant for doing an official favour of releasing the van with a load of teak wood logs belonging to the complainant and his father, the release added.
