Five dead, one million evacuated from Chile quake site

London, Sept. 17 : One million people have been evacuated after an 8.3 magnitude earthquake rattled the capital of Chile, Santiago.

According to The Daily Star, waves of up to 15 feet have been reported in one coastal city as an alert was issued for all those living along the coast to evacuate.

Peru, Hawaii, parts of California and New Zealand have issued Tsunami warnings.

Chile’s government has now urged the residents to evacuate the coastline. (ANI)
