Congress says wake up Kejriwal to stop rising dengue cases

New Delhi: The Congress workers staged a protest outside Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence here on Thursday to draw his attention to the rising cases of dengue in the national capital.

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) chief Ajay Maken and Congress spokesperson P.C. Chacko led the protest.

They raised slogans such as ‘Kejriwal hosh mein aao’ and ‘Kejriwal sharam karo’. They also carried banners and posters with messages such as ‘Dilli mein dengue ki maar, so rahi hai Dilli sarkar’.

Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court today asked the Centre and AAP Government as to what steps were being taken to prevent the spread of dengue in the national capital.

The High Court directed them to file affidavits explaining the same within two weeks.

The High Court also sought responses from the NDMC and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on the steps being taken for the prevention of dengue. (ANI)
