Quetta : Pakistan’s fisheries department has directed fishermen along the coastal belt of Balochistan not to venture out to sea on March 5 and 6 in view of torrential rains and high winds in the province.
The director of fisheries, Noor Mohammad, said the advisory was issued in wake of the heavy rains, which have lashed most parts of Balochistan this week, reports Dawn.
Quetta faced a flood-like situation due to the dilapidated condition of the provincial capital’s sewage system. The torrential rains have caused power outages and suspension of internet and phone services in several districts of the province.
Torrential rains compounded the problems of citizens in general and the students taking their examinations in particular in Quetta. (ANI)
