Kolkata: West Bengal Minister for Public Health Engineering & Panchayat and Rural Development Subrata Mukherjee on Tuesday said the government will supply filtered water to every family by 2020.
“Under the vision of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, every single family will be getting filtered drinking water by 2020,” Mukherjee said after inaugurating a piped drinking water project at Belpahari in West Midnapore district.
He said under the plan, every individual will be getting 70 litres of water daily.
Mukherjee said clean drinking water was a must to avert disease and provide healthier environment.
