Vijayawada, February 02: Father of the nine-year-old girl, who was kidnapped here and found dead at Guntur, died today due to cardiac arrest, authorities said.
Prabhakar Rao fell unconscious after he learnt of his daughter Vyshnavi’s death and was immediately rushed to a private hospital in the city yesterday.
He died this morning due to cardiac arrest, hospital authorities added.
A large number of political leaders, including Chief Minister K Rosaiah, TDP President Chandrababu Naidu, will be attending his funeral, which would take place this evening.
The burnt body of Vyshnavi was found at Autonagar in Guntur, two days after she was abducted on January 30 from Vijayawada while she was going to school along with her brother in a car.
The kidnappers killed the car driver, who resisted them, while her elder brother managed to escape safely.
