Srinagar: National Conference president Farooq Abdullah today filed nomination papers in DC office Srinagar for upcoming Parliamentary polls. He is contesting for the parliamentary seat from Srinagar.
The National Conference president on Friday had led the campaigning of joint Congress-National Conference (NC) candidates and said the alliance was aimed to keep India secular and “save” it from divisive politics.
Earlier kick-starting his party’s campaign for the Lok Sabha polls, he said he will represent Jammu and Kashmir in Parliament. The former Chief Minister also announced that his son, Omar Abdullah, will be the party’s chief ministerial candidate.
