Continuing his tirade against the TRS government, TDP Telangana working president A Revanth Reddy has alleged that farmers had dreamt that their life would be better in Telangana State, but they are facing more problems than they faced in united Andhra Pradesh.
In an open letter to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Revanth Reddy stated that the former had failed to keep his promise to waive loans of farmers. He demanded that the government disburse subsidy amount given by the Centre after sharing State government’s share. Revanth Reddy said Rs 791-crore input subsidy given by the Centre has been diverted. The State government should distribute it to the farmers. He also demanded the State government immediately prepare list of drought-affected mandals after a study. If the government fails to concede the demands of the farmers, his party would launch an agitation in support of the farmers, he warned. (NSS)
