Patna: Patna’s ‘Super 30′ coaching centre has set a new record of all 30 students cracking the Indian Institute of Technology-Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) examination.
Mathematician Anand Kumar the founder of Super 30’ coaching centre said.“I am happy that my 30 out of 30 candidates have cracked II-JEE Advanced this year…Now the time has come to give Super 30 some much-needed expansion. We will now organise tests for selecting the students in different parts of the country and give all the details on the website.”
Kumar provides free coaching to underprivileged sections of the society along with food and accommodation. He started the ‘Super 30’ programme in 2002 under his Ramanujam Institute of Mathematics, which selects 30 meritorious candidates each year.
He said, “We will hold tests (to take in students for coaching) in different parts of the country after giving detailed information about it on our website.”
In the 15-year journey of Super 30, a total of 396 candidates out of 450 have made it to IIT. Last year, 28 out of 30 candidates made it to IIT JEE Advanced.
