TD to complain to Centre, CBI on TS land scams

Hyderabad: Telangana Telugu Desam leaders A Revanth Reddy, L Ramana and others today staged a protest at Ranga Reddy Collectorate demanding CBI inquiry into the land scams in the State, including Miyapur land scam and others.
Speaking to mediapersons, they accused the state government of failing to order a CBI inquiry and trying to dilute the case by handing over it to CID. Irregularities took place at some lands in Manikonda area which have to be protected by the Union Home Ministry. Revanth Reddy alleged that names of Chief Minister and his family members are being heard in the land scams and KCR has to respond on it. “The Chief Minister has to react on the murkier turned land scams and should make it public whom he was meeting at his Erravalli farm house.
L Ramana said three-year rule of the TRS Government has seen many land scams. The Government was taking action only on lower cadre officials and ignoring big fish, he alleged. KCR should prove his integrity by ordering a CBI inquiry into the land scams, he demanded. They also slammed the State government for trying to suppress the Opposition for its protests on land scams and people’s issues. “The government cannot stop the people from expressing their ire and anguish in the issues. We will soon meet the Centre and CBI Director and seek justice on the alleged land scams in Telangana State”, they said. (NSS)
