Every section in AP got raw deal by TDP govt: Jagan

YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy today alleged that every of the society got a raw deal during the three-year rule of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

Addressing a road show at Harijanapeta in the Nandyal Assembly constituency on Thursday, the YSRCP chief said the TDP was habituated to  going back on its promises resulting in several welfare programs being watered down. The Aarogyasri and fee reimbursement program which were of immense help to the people were being steadily watered down by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, YSRCP chief said. Similarly, pension for the unemployed youth was a poll promise by the TDP but it was conveniently forgotten, he said, adding that over Rs 14,000 crore of farm loan waiver was also completely ignored by the government.

“The Chief Minister had promised to reduce the number of belt shops in the State there, but many such shops are cropping up in every town and village,” Jagan said. “Now the Chief Minister was distributing Rs 5,000 to every voter in the constituency and seeking their vote, whereas he has amassed crores of rupees by going back on his promises and deceiving the people of the State,” the YSRCP president said.
