Finance Minister Etala Rajender today criticized the opposition for creating ruckus and making false allegations against the government for passing the land acquisition amendment Bill in the Assembly.
Talking to reporters here, he said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is coming up with innovative ideas to do away with the 57 years of sorrow and grief left behind by the previous governments. He reiterated that the government will complete irrigation projects with necessary changes in design to draw more waters. However the Congress and other opposition parties are vying to blame the government on the land Act, he charged. The government is ready to take suggestions from the opposition and not meaningless criticism, he said. The Congress made deliberate attempts to stall the house proceedings and coming in the way of development, the finance minister alleged. The government, he said, is trying to complete the irrigation projects on a war-footing and it is unfair for the opposition to create obstacles, Rajender said.(NSS)
