“Our land our crop” survey soon: Pocharam

Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy today said that the state government is coming up with innovative ideas to promote agriculture activity in a big way. He said that they are planning to introduce “Our land – Our Crop” scheme to help migrated people to get back to their native places and involve in their previous works. A comprehensive survey will be conducted for the purpose soon,  he said.

The government will conduct the survey to get details of the lands available in villages, people and farmers left for other places for livelihood and assess the situation,  he said. Mission Kakatiya program recharged the lakes and water bodies with waters which will pave way for the villagers to  get back to previous works,  he hoped. He also said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s plan to provide sheep to Yadavas and complete subsidy for fishermen will boost their old professions to strengthen rural economy. Srinivas Reddy expressed displeasure at the congress leaders for making comments on the government over chilli and other issues. The congress which resorted to firing on the farmers for seeking minimum support price for redgram is now talking against the government,  he remarked. Srinivas Reddy alleged that the Congress leaders are getting envious over the good works being done and welfare schemes being implemented and making baseless allegations.(NSS)
