Agartala, April 01: Elections to the 30-member Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) will be held on May 3.
The formal notification for the elections will be made on April 5, TTAADC’s Election Commissioner Y P Singh today said, adding about 6,36,169 voters are eligible to exercise their franchise.
The last date for filing of nominations was April 12, Singh said and added that scrutiny of nominations will be held on April 13 while the last date of withdrawal of nomination is April 16.
He said the number of polling stations is 1,006. Counting of votes will be taken up on May 7 and completed the same day.
In the 30-member council, elections will be held for 28 seats while the rest two members will be nominated by the Governor.
