Mumbai, May 13: Seems that Ekta Kapoor is fed up of the claims made by the ‘real’ Ragini , the Delhi-girl on whose life her movie ‘Ragini MMS’ is based on. That’s why now the filmmaker has openly challenged the girl to take legal action against her.
The 22-year old Deepika aka Ragini claimed that only the paranormal activity is the part of her life and not the love making scenes, which are an important part of the film. She demanded that the film is shown to her before it hit screens. With producer Ekta failing to comply, Deepika has announced that she will file a case against Ekta and that has left the young filmmaker furious and fuming.
Talking about the entire hullabaloo, Ekta said, “I couldn’t show the film to Deepika and have her object to the film and ruin the release schedule. So I though that she can watch it once the film is released. I have always maintained that only 30% of Ragini MMS is based on her life.
“I don’t have the time to calculate the number of scenes based on her life and number of scenes that are not,” declared Ekta.
She further reasoned out, “If whatever Deepika is saying is the truth, I challenge her to get a lawyer, send me a legal paper and then talk to me. I have not yet received any legal document from her. What’s stopping her I want to know.”
Whatever the controversy, the film has hit screens today and is already getting rave reviews. We are sure Deepika has only helped Ekta publicize her horror venture.
