Jammu, October 25: An editor of a local news agency was arrested for his alleged links with the Pakistan Army and the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) in Jammu city, police said today.
Acting on information provided by intelligence agencies, the Special Operations Group (SOG) of police raided the house of Farooq Ganaie in Lower Roopnagar areas in Jammu city and arrested him yesterday, they said.
Ganaie is the editor of News Agency of Kashmir (NAK), which he set up three years ago, they said, adding that his office was sealed and all computers and records were seized.
He was also the media cell head of a prominent political party in the state and is the son of former minister Akbar Ganaie, also the district president of a ruling party in Anantnag.
