Jeddah: An earthquake of magnitude 3 hits off the coast of Jeddah on Tuesday.
According to news published in Khaleej Times, the Saudi Geological Survey said that an earthquake with a magnitude of 3 on the Richter Scale was recorded by seismic monitoring stations of its National Centre for Seismology and Volcanology.

Speaking on this incident, spokesman of SGS, Tariq Aba Al Khalil said that the epicenter of the quake was in the middle of the Red Sea and occurred at a depth of 20.88 km.
He further said that as the tremor was mild, it was not felt by any citizen of the coastal cities near the earthquake.
