Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari has stressed on scrapping the present marks system in intermediate education and replacing the same with grades.
Addressing a conference on intermediate education here on Tuesday, the Deputy CM said that the overall performance of Board of Intermediate Education has been exemplary for the last three years. He said several reforms were introduced which gave best results. He said steps were also being taken to improve the standard of education.
Kadiam said that the government has no intention to harass private educational institutions. However, he said action would be taken against institutions which go against the interest of students. He said efforts were on improve the functioning of government educational institutions. He said the government has spent Rs. 350 crore to improve facilities in intermediate colleges.
