Durgah blast case: Swami Aseemanand custody extends till March 15

New Delhi, March 01: Today, a local court extended till March 15, the judicial custody of prominent Sangh Parivar functionary Swami Aseemanand and three co-accused in the infamous durgah blast case.

The accused Swami, Chief of Hindu outfit Abhinav Bharat, and three others were presented in the court of Acting Chief Judicial Magistrate Rekha Sharma who remanded them into judicial custody as charge sheet against them has not so far been filed in the court.

The Swami was arrested by the ATS on January 22, following confession before a court about his role in the terror blasts at places like Malegaon, Hyderabad and Ajmer and on board the Indo-Pak Samjautha Express in 2007.
