DU girl student among 7 thieves held in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad, September 25: Seven thieves, including a girl student of Delhi University, have been arrested and diamond and gold ornaments worth over Rs 2.50 crore were recovered from their possession here, police said today.

“The seven thieves were arrested yesterday. They used to commit thefts in posh localities of metro cities including Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Delhi,” SSP Raghubir Lal said.

According to the SSP, the girl Manshi and his boyfriend Vicky had formed the gang.

The police came to know about the gang after a thief, arrested four days back in Vasundhra area, told them about it during interrogation, Lal claimed.
