Hyderabad: TRS leader and Rajya Sabha member D. Srinivas today met AICC chief Rahul Gandhi and expressed his desire to return home.
Refuting the rumors, Srinivas said meeting Rahul Gandhi does not mean that I am joining Congress party. “I had met many leaders earlier and will meet them in future too,” he added.
Srinivas, who was in Congress since 1969, had switched loyalties to TRS in 2015, a year after the party formed first government in the newly-created Telangana State. Srinivas had served as a minister in the previous undivided Andhra Pradesh and also headed the Congress party’s State unit successfully.
