Telangana Minorities Residential Institutional Educational Society (TMREIS) Secretary B. Shafiullah informed that there has been tremendous response for admissions in TMR schools across the State.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Shafiullah said that nearly 86,000 registrations for admissions were received for 31,000 available seats across 204 TMR schools. For Hyderabad district, more than 9,000 applications were received for 8,000 seats available under different categories. He said admissions in 39 TMR schools of Hyderabad would be finalised by drawl of lots on April 23. He said buildings for opening new TMR Schools have already been identified. The tendering processes for providing infrastructure facilities to these schools have been completed and the suppliers are ready to supply the material. Except Hyderabad, the first phase of admission has been completed in all the districts and admission was done by drawl of lots on April 13. For left over seats, admission will be given at ertswhile district level by drawl of lots community wise on April 24.
The TMREIS Secretary informed that a helpline number 040-23437909 has been started for any enquiries pertaining to admissions.
He also informed that a 15-day summer camp would be held for the students of TMR schools from April 24. The students will participate in various sports activities at LB Stadium, Gachibowli Stadium, Yacht Club at Tank Bund, Polo Club in Aziz Nagar and other venues. (INN)
