Stating that the TRS Government is determined to offer three acres of land to Dalits which is a continuous process, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today informed the Assembly that they are ready distribute 10000 acres of lands in addition to 9000 acres distributed so far.
During the debate in the Assembly on budget session KCR said that land distribution among Dalits is a continuous process which was started by the government itself and not sought by anyone. Purpose of the land is to help them empower economically as the government will offer investment for first year to maintain the same. Stating that they have spent Rs 7 lakh for one acre land in Khammam he appreciated legislator Puvvada Ajay for coming forward to give 66 acres of land for the purpose. He also called upon the MLAs, those who came from districts and settled inHyderabad and people to come forward to give lands if not in use.
Stating that fees reimbursement scheme is implemented to avoid trouble to poor students he said that and there is no discrimination among Minorities on implementation of reservations to Muslims. Besides Muslims, justice should be done to Dalit Christians he said that Minorities have 14 per cent Muslims and the reservations will be implemented accordingly.
The Government was committed to provide constitutional protection to BC Commission and has clarity on BC Federation he said adding that there is a need for finding the castes in most backward classes to take welfare steps as BCs occupy majority in population. KCR also said that budget for Study Circles will not be reduced and steps being taken to strengthen residential schools being built with all facilities, standards and infrastructure to enable them surpass corporate schools.
He also claimed that commercial banks came to offer Rs 30,000 crore to the State government for its good governance and unmatched welfare schemes and flagship programs. Development works worth Rs 40,000 cr to Rs 50,000 cr are going on under Panchayat Raj and Roads & Buildings departments in the State. (NSS)
