Chennai, August 09: Charging the previous DMK regime with adopting the “wrong approach” on the power and water fronts, the ruling AIADMK on Tuesday said it accorded high priority on addressing these issues.
“The wrong approach (of the previous regime) resulted not only in power cuts but also water problems. We are reviewing and addressing the situation,” Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa informed the state Assembly.
High priority was being accorded on addressing the power issue as well as on the water front, she said.
“This government has a duty to provide safe drinking water to all persons in Tamil Nadu. We will do that at any cost,” she said.
