DMIF demands All Indian Judicial Service on lines of IAS

New Delhi, January 05: Lok Jan Shakti Party (LJP) chief Ram Vilas Paswan led Delhi Minorities International Forum (DMIF) today demanded setting up of an All Indian Judicial Service on the lines of IAS and IPS.

”Considering extremely low representation of SC, ST, OBC and minorities in judiciary, necessary steps should be taken under article 312 of the Constitution to set up an All Indian Judicial Service on the lines of IAS and IPS,” LJP Secretary General and DMIF executive member Abdul Khaliq said here.

The resolution was made at the DMIF executive committee meet. Demanding reservation in private sector, the forum said necessary legislative measures should be initiated and a suitable bill for the purpose introduced in the next budget session of Parliament.

”We will also appeal the Government to initiate necessary steps to implement recommendations of Ranganath Mishra Commission for minorities on a time-bound basis to improve their socio-economic conditions,” Khaliq added. The meet was attended by DMIF president Ram Vilas Paswan besides other DMIF and LJP office-bearers.
