New Delhi, December 18: Two Congress members in the Rajya Sabha today sought to give a new twist to the Opposition move for impeachment of Karnataka Chief Justice P D Dinakaran, alleging that he was being targeted because of being a dalit.
As soon the the House took up Zero Hour mentions, Praveen Rashtrapal and J D Seelam were on their feet seeking to raise the issue.
P J Kurien, who was on the Chair, however, refused to allow the members to raise the matter.
But the members alleged that Justice Dinakaran was being targeted because he was a dalit.
Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari yesterday admitted the impeachment notice given by 75 members against Justice Dinakaran over land-grabbing allegations.
