Develop NAC into an employment agency: Tummala

Roads & Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao today directed the officials concerned to see that NAC should be developed into a Centre of Excellence and an employment agency to roll out the employees with needed skills.

Nageshwar Rao held a review meeting at Secretariat on NAC activities and advised that the officials implement a plan to provide jobs to youth. “For this, NAC should coordinate with other private organizations. An action plan should be prepared to provide jobs for youth at national and international level. NAC should coordinate with private firms and implement a plan of action. NAC should become a centre of excellence and roll out the best trainees to serve in various sectors”, he said.

The minister hoped that the trainees in the NAC should be considered the best in the country. The officials should also focus on NAC Centers in the districts to offer necessary training to youth. The minister further said that 3.76 lakhs youth taken coaching and training in the NAC from 1997 and till date. As many as 40,174 people got training for construction industry he said adding that NAC improved its functioning after the formation of Telangana and offered training to 7959 persons during 2017-18. He asked the officials to expand its activities to set new records. The minister said that NAC offered 350 site engineers to GHMC in a transparent manner and will offer engineering and consultancy services to big companies for building 15 storied building.
