Jaipur: Dense fog today blanketed northeast Rajasthan and parts of the adjoining states, disrupting road traffic and delaying nine trains.
The MeT department said Churu was the coldest place last night in the state at 6.3 degrees Celsius.
Owing to fog, nine trains of North Western Railway were running late, its CPRO Tarun Jain said.
Roadways buses on Jaipur-Delhi, Jaipur-Alwar, Jaipur-Agra routes, and in Srigangangar and Hanumangarh districts were delayed due to fog, an official of RSRTC said.
The weatherman said Sriganganagar recorded minimum of 6.5 degrees C followed by Sikar 6.6, Chittorgarh 7.7, Udaipur 7.8, Tonk 7.9 and Jaipur 9.2 degrees C.
Similar weather conditions are likely to prevail in the state in the next 24 hours, a MeT forecast said.
