New Delhi: Talking about the incident of Babri Masjid demolition, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in an interview had said, “What happened in Ayodhya on 6th was very unfortunate”.
He further said, “We tried to prevent it but we cannot succeed”. When the reason was asked, he said, “A section of Kar Sevaks went out of control”.
Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee breathed his last on Thursday evening. He was cremated on Friday with full state honour.
His ashes will be immersed in all the rivers of Uttar Pradesh including Ganga, Yamuna and Tapti.
It may be mentioned that the veteran BJP leader was admitted to AIIMS on June 11 with complications arising out of Urinary Tract Infection, low urine output and chest congestion. He was on life support since Wednesday morning after his condition deteriorated.
